Through the WIOA Tuition Assistance program at New Mexico Workforce Connection, Ms. Medina was able to attend New Mexico State University and graduated in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Not only did the WIOA Tuition Assistance program help pay for Ms. Medina's tuition, but the program covered the cost of the books and supplies she needed for each semester totaling over $11,000 in assistance.
Ms. Medina is the first of her siblings to attend and graduate college and shared this message, "It is because of the WIOA program investing in me that I was able to follow through with my goal of investing within myself, found my passion as a business professional with the City of Las Cruces, and am on the right track to a satisfying income at a single job. Thank you!"
