The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions released their Monthly Employment News Release for March 2021.
New Mexico’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 8.3 percent in March 2021, unchanged from February and up from 5.4 percent a year ago. The national unemployment rate in March was 6.0 percent, down from 6.2 percent in February and up from 4.4 percent in March 2020. Total nonagricultural payroll employment fell by 65,600 jobs, or 7.7 percent, between March 2020 and March 2021.
