Virtual Town Hall - Housing Assistance and Sheltering Response Services
(Albuquerque, NM) – The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) is hosting a series of virtual town hall discussions, Tuesday, August 18, 2020 session is focusing on rent and housing assistance for individuals impacted by COVID-19. NMDWS has joined with the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, Mesilla Valley Community of Hope, and the University of New Mexico, School of Law to discuss issues facing renters, homeowners, and homeless New Mexicans. Topics include programs available for housing assistance, tenant services, and steps to take if facing a possible eviction due to missed rental payments as a result of the pandemic.
